About

As the apparel and accessories designer and brand coordinator for both international and South African brands I have had experience with working in a team alongside buyers, suppliers and international design teams.

In my current role at local South African company, Studio 88, I design and coordinate for in-house labels; Grey Wolf, Skhanda World and Nikos, and international brands; Sergio Tacchini and Playboy and manage the entire design process. My role includes trend research, graphic design, product design, range presentations, garment spec development, tech pack development, fabric selection, fit approvals at production stages, quality checks throughout the process, liaison with the in-house buying department, and coordination with
the suppliers from design to final production. Throughout my fashion career I have worked on multiple brands designing apparel and accessories for men, women and kidswear, including swimwear, denim and casual outerwear.

During my four years of academic studies as a fashion student, I interned and assisted with multiple creatives in the local fashion industry, including designers, magazines and stylists. This experience allowed me to develop skills in styling which I used when styling my own brand at university, assisting stylings on shoots as well as accompanying the marketing department at Studio 88 with styling lifestyle shoots for the brands in which I design.

As a creative person and aesthete, I pay special attention to the small details all around me, taking inspiration from my travels to exotic places around the world and my daily life experiences - I am conscious of fashion and art wherever I go. My fascination with the arts allows me to use all my skills together when designing or applying myself in the creative industry and the fashion industry is a platform where I feel most comfortable expressing myself. I thrive in a team where I can gain inspiration from and learn from my peers and work best in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. I am highly dedicated and loyal and I am always
eager to learn new skills and develop existing ones.
